Head of Social Affairs role in Paris for LVMH Wines & Spirits division. Senior employment law expert managing HR legal counsel and occupational health, hybrid work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver daily employment law advice to HR directors and business partners on complex individual situations, disciplinary matters, and negotiated severance arrangements, with a focus on protecting corporate interests and leadership reputations
- Secure managerial decisions through legal risk assessment and ensure alignment with corporate social practices and reputation management objectives
- Author legal memoranda and best-practice recommendations to harmonise HR policies and procedures across the division and prevent treatment discrepancies between business units and entities
- Oversee sensitive cases including harassment allegations, imminent litigation, executive departures, and succession negotiations; manage relationships with external legal counsel, prepare litigation defense files, assess financial and reputational exposure, and determine settlement strategy
- Coordinate and oversee ethics investigations triggered by internal reporting mechanisms, working with specialised external firms to balance procedural rigour, strict confidentiality, and HR support for involved parties
- Facilitate information flow between group headquarters and divisional governance on sensitive individual cases and collective social strategy; chair weekly social coordination meetings with all properties to foster synergies and share best practices on mandatory annual negotiations and regulatory developments
- Advise on complex international mobility issues and sensitive situations arising in foreign subsidiaries in coordination with local legal counsel; represent group interests and practices in local legal environments when necessary
- Assess social and legal risks arising from organisational transformations; structure change management projects to mitigate resistance and secure proper consultation of employee representatives
- Oversee occupational health and prevention policies for the corporate perimeter, integrating primary prevention, psychosocial risk mitigation, and employee wellbeing support
Qualifications
- Master's degree (BAC+5) in employment law or labour law
- Minimum 10 years of confirmed experience in employment relations and social affairs within demanding corporate, multi-entity, or group environments
- Fluent English proficiency
- Expertise in French employment law with proven ability to advise on disciplinary procedures, severance arrangements, and collective labour relations
- Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation and sensitive employee relations cases
