Armand de Brignac seeks Financial Controller in New York for prestigious champagne brand. $156–$195k + bonus, hybrid.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a robust control environment and effective asset monitoring
  • Manage General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Treasury functions
  • Plan and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to Joint Venture Board, Moët Hennessy, and LVMH
  • Reconcile financial statements between SAP and MH/LVMH reporting tools
  • Build and monitor cash forecasts; serve as primary contact for bank relationships and covenants
  • Execute monthly inventory reconciliation and physical inventory counts
  • Act as business owner of financial processes and primary contact for external and internal auditors
  • Coordinate and manage audit activities ensuring timely and accurate information delivery
  • Lead Internal Control Self-Assessment processes according to LVMH guidelines
  • Oversee preparation of financial analyses and presentations for diverse stakeholder audiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
  • CPA certification
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in accounting roles, with 2–3 years in a similar controller or senior accounting position
  • Strong expertise in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated leadership and analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Mastery of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial processes
