Moët & Chandon is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician in Épernay to maintain site equipment, support preventive maintenance and drive line improvements. The role is permanent and full-time.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical, automation, mechanical, robotics, industrial computing and vision-system maintenance to minimise operational downtime.
  • Work autonomously on all site equipment.
  • Record parts issues and quotation requests for interventions in the maintenance management system, following established procedures.
  • Resolve most technical problems quickly and effectively, with due regard to safety, quality and output.
  • Observe safety requirements, including lockout and machine compliance, and quality requirements, including traceability and food safety.
  • Recommend durable solutions to technical problems.
  • Diagnose machine-to-machine communication and industrial computing issues, and perform first-level troubleshooting.
  • Work on vision equipment, consulting external providers when needed and adhering to predefined quality standards.
  • Support supplier interventions, including initial contact, quotation requests, follow-up and audits, under management supervision.
  • Inform production and maintenance management and teams about interventions.
  • Set intervention priorities in coordination with production and maintenance management.
  • Participate in production-line format changes for the assigned process.
  • Contribute to developing the preventive maintenance plan for the assigned process with the Maintenance and Methods teams.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and record its completion in the maintenance management system.
  • Recommend adjustments to the preventive maintenance plan based on observations.
  • Stay informed about line activity by participating in process meetings and exchanges, including flash meetings, performance reviews, quality meetings, A0, SMED and working groups.
  • Propose and carry out improvement actions covering safety, the environment, quality and food safety.
  • May lead an improvement or reliability project on the line, including coordinating suppliers, under management supervision.
  • Participate in trials and their validation, including those involving dry materials and new equipment.
  • Help train machine operators and setters in the technical aspects of the process.
  • Adapt to new techniques and technologies in the role.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience.
  • Good technical knowledge of maintenance, automation, mechanics, electricity, pneumatics/hydraulics and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of the production process and the dry materials used.
  • Proficiency with IT tools, maintenance management systems and production management tools.
  • Team spirit.
