Moët Hennessy seeks Director of Global Intelligence, Spirits and Still Wines in Paris to lead market insights and data-driven strategy for luxury spirits brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead a centralized ecosystem of intelligence experts and leverage market specialists across top-performing regions (US, China, South Africa) to orchestrate and integrate syndicated industry data from IWSR, Nielsen, internal sell-out data, and Oxford Economics specific to spirits and still wines categories
- Synthesize internal consumer data (brand health trackers, qualitative and quantitative studies, occasion-driven analyses) with external trends from industry authorities, social listening platforms, and media agencies to identify actionable insights
- Transform multi-source data into compelling data-led narratives, strategic presentations, dashboards, and performance tracking mechanisms that inform COMEX, the Distribution Committee, LVMH group leadership, and Maison International Directors
- Deliver annual market and category opportunity assessments, ongoing competitive performance analysis versus market benchmarks, and regular business performance reporting on sales volumes, value, pricing, promotion distribution, and rate of sale across designated spirits markets
- Conduct ad-hoc strategic analyses on regulatory, trade, and M&A developments relevant to the spirits and beverages sectors
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and Transformation team leads to ensure intelligence is seamlessly embedded within overall marketing effectiveness strategies and brand planning initiatives
- Prepare PMT and budget dossiers
- Collaborate with the Director of Global Intelligence, Champagnes and Sparkling Wines, to create a unified, total Moët Hennessy intelligence framework
Qualifications
- 15+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, market research, or related field with significant focus on the alcoholic beverage industry, specifically spirits and cognac
- BSc or MSc-level degree with relevant professional working experience
- Proven track record supporting the development of long-term strategies within global, regional, and local contexts across spirits and still wines categories and key markets
- Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing internal sales and retail audit data from Nielsen, IRI, GfK, or equivalent providers
- Established background in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environments; experience in wine and spirits sectors is highly valued
- Evidence of scenario development and strategic analysis capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level stakeholders within multinational organizations

Minimum 15 years of professional experience in business intelligence, market research, or related field, with a significant focus on the alcoholic beverage industry—particularly spirits and cognac. The candidate must demonstrate substantive experience supporting long-term strategy development and translating data into actionable commercial recommendations at global, regional, and local levels. Proven expertise managing internal sales and retail audit data from providers such as Nielsen, IRI, or GfK is essential. Prior experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods organizations is required; background in wine and spirits is highly regarded. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success gaining agenda access and influencing at the executive level within multinational environments, with documented capability in scenario development and strategic analysis.
Education
BSc or MSc degree in business, economics, marketing, statistics, data science, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional qualification or advanced professional certification in market research, business intelligence, or strategic analytics is acceptable in combination with substantial relevant working experience.
