Business Analyst at Cloudy Bay Winery in Blenheim, New Zealand. Support financial analysis, forecasting and reporting for luxury wine producer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage coordination of forecasting processes and support timely submissions from stakeholders
- Liaise with Finance team and wider business stakeholders to gather information and meet key deadlines
- Prepare reporting packs during forecast periods and consolidate forecast figures in Topaz and Syrus systems
- Forecast contributive cash flow in collaboration with the Finance team
- Prepare and review financial reports post-forecast, including volume analysis, sales, standard costing and profit analysis
- Update and circulate validated figures at the end of each forecast phase
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing process in collaboration with the accounting team
- Prepare GL postings relating to advertising and promotional and overhead expenses as part of month-end closing
- Serve as key point of contact for queries relating to analytical coding of expenses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Three to five years' experience in business or operations analysis role, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods or retail
- Experience in a global, publicly listed company or similarly complex business environment
- Experience in reporting, business analysis and accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge highly desirable

Minimum three to five years in a business or operations analysis role, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods or retail. Experience in a global, publicly listed company or similarly complex business environment is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, business analysis, and cost variance analysis is essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field.
