Account Manager – On-Trade role at Moët Hennessy, Manchester. Develop on-premise wine and spirits accounts across the North West.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver indirect and direct volume targets and growth for the territory to ensure regional volume budgets are achieved
- Develop bespoke proposals for new business opportunities and renegotiations using category and commercial intelligence
- Conduct prospect planning aligned to brand objectives and regional opportunities
- Develop and execute joint business plans for key customer accounts
- Achieve distribution and by-the-glass targets for the Moët Hennessy portfolio, including cocktail listings
- Develop, implement, and own the Key City strategy (Manchester & Liverpool) ensuring the three most influential accounts per channel are Moët Hennessy accounts
- Plan and execute brand activations in alignment with Brand Marketing teams
- Achieve strategic KPIs for education (training), digital engagement, and perfect serve standards
- Ensure all winemaker, champagne, and spirits ambassador visits are planned and executed with appropriate guest lists and follow-up protocols
- Maintain and grow champagne volumes within key city flagship establishments
- Develop and activate a regional bar channel plan to drive bartender engagement and spirit sales
- Maintain customer data accuracy and complete all planning actions via Salesforce
- Ensure 85% minimum forecasting accuracy for key lines using finance management tools
- Ensure 100% completion of sales data authority forms across the territory
- Conduct full profitability analysis on all new and existing business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with regional route-to-market contacts and liaise on territory challenges and opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience, preferably within the Wines and Spirits industry
- WSET qualification (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) preferred
- Full UK driving license
- Proven knowledge of champagne, wine, and spirits categories
- On-trade sector knowledge and understanding of North West on-trade customers
- Strong negotiation and commercial analytical skills
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in account management
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of proven sales track record, preferably within the on-trade wine and spirits sector. Candidates should demonstrate deep knowledge of champagne, wine, and spirits categories, familiarity with the North West on-trade customer landscape, and experience in direct customer negotiation and account development.
Education
WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualification is preferred. Full UK driving license is required.
