Account Manager – South Island at Moët Hennessy, Christchurch, New Zealand. Lead luxury wine and spirits sales across channels.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets whilst growing market share across assigned territory channels
  • Develop and execute activation programmes across customer network to drive brand visibility and product sales
  • Build relationships with key customers in on-trade, off-trade, and e-retail segments, providing tailored commercial advice and creative solutions
  • Serve as brand ambassador through expert product knowledge, heritage storytelling, and exceptional customer engagement
  • Monitor and report on competitive activity, market trends, and distribution compliance using Salesforce and QLIK analytics platforms
  • Ensure brand merchandising standards and maximum product facings across all retail outlets and digital platforms
  • Execute on-premise distribution surveys and track Aspire adoption KPIs including customer segmentation and engagement metrics
  • Monitor customer financial status and collaborate with Sales Manager and Credit Manager to optimise debt collection and minimise bad debts
  • Accompany senior managers, marketing colleagues, and brand principals on market visits and participate in regular sales reviews
  • Represent and embody Moët Hennessy values of elegance, integrity, epicureanism, and spirit of conquest in all business interactions

Qualifications

  • College or University degree in Business or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial or sales experience within luxury goods or premium international wine and spirits industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the luxury wine and spirits sector with specific expertise in Champagne and prestige spirits
  • Deep understanding of high-end on-trade, selective off-trade, and e-retail channels
  • Full English written and spoken proficiency
  • Strong planning, presentation, and negotiation capabilities
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and statistical skills
  • High-level computer literacy including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience

Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships across on-trade, off-trade, and e-retail distribution channels. Experience with CRM and sales analytics platforms in a luxury or premium consumer goods environment is highly advantageous.

College or University degree in Business or equivalent professional qualification.
