Miu Miu Shanghai: Retail Merchandising Manager overseeing shoes buying, inventory, and visual execution across China market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in master selection processes at headquarters and manage the buying budget for the China shoes category, ensuring merchandising mix aligns with brand direction whilst optimizing commercial performance
- Analyze sales performance and oversee stock management across the China market, monitoring sell-through rates and consolidating market reorder requests to drive timely and effective replenishment
- Maintain regular communication with local merchandising teams and headquarters on sales metrics and sell-through performance to ensure achievement of commercial targets
- Conduct frequent store visits to provide on-site feedback and drive commercial performance across retail locations
- Manage in-season stock transfers within the China market to maximize sell-through and optimize inventory allocation
- Liaise with headquarters on the development of seasonal product training materials and ensure effective delivery of product training and workshops to store sales teams
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to review visual execution from both brand image and commercial perspectives, developing market-specific VM guidelines in coordination with headquarters
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in retail merchandising or buying for a luxury fashion brand
- Proven expertise in managing product assortments, stock management, and in-season performance
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales data analysis and commercial forecasting
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across regional and global operations
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or category management within luxury fashion, with demonstrated success managing shoes or comparable product categories across multiple markets
Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field
