Miu Miu in Milan seeks a Collection Launch and Production Specialist to coordinate sample development, labs and pre‑production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and organise laboratory workload and production assignments in coordination with patternmaking (Modelleria) and product leads.
- Create and manage production orders (commesse) for samples and collections.
- Verify material inventories required for sample and pre‑production phases and request replenishment from Purchasing when necessary.
- Monitor deliveries of raw materials and semi‑finished components to ensure on‑time availability.
- Track the progress of patternmaking/CAD activities and escalate delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Launch orders and schedule the dispatch of materials to internal and external ateliers.
- Oversee progress of sample production and organise the timely return of finished garments.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and external laboratories to ensure quality and timing for showpieces and collections.
- Report regularly to the Product Office manager on milestones, risks and production issues.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in a relevant fashion/product development discipline.
- 3–4 years' experience in sample development, pre‑production or production within luxury apparel or high‑end textile companies.
- Solid knowledge of bill of materials (DIBA), material monitoring (inventory control, procurement follow‑up, issue management) and garment assembly processes.
- Familiarity with patternmaking/CAD workflows and basic garment construction is preferred.
- Proficiency with AS400 and Microsoft Office suite.
- Good command of English.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and a collaborative, goal‑oriented attitude.

Experience
Minimum 3–4 years of progressive experience in sample development, pre‑production or production coordination within the luxury apparel or high‑end textile sector.
Education
Technical diploma or university degree in fashion technology, garment engineering, product development or a related technical field.
