Michael Kors in Milan seeks a Wholesale Intern to conduct Gen Z fashion consumption research and deliver strategic recommendations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and execute primary and secondary research on Gen Z fashion discovery, influence and purchase behaviour across online and offline channels.
- Combine quantitative and qualitative methodologies — surveys, interviews, trend analysis and competitive benchmarking — to generate evidence-based insights.
- Map the Gen Z purchase ecosystem (brand sites, marketplaces, resale, social commerce, mobile apps, physical retail) and evaluate conversion pathways.
- Analyse the influence of creators and platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest) and document social commerce mechanics such as TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, livestream shopping and affiliate links.
- Produce key deliverables: executive summary, comprehensive Gen Z consumer report, competitor & best-practice benchmark, consumer personas and practical strategic recommendations.
- Present findings and recommended actions to cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, e‑commerce, retail, product and CRM teams.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in marketing, business, communications, sociology, fashion studies or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable interest in fashion, youth culture and digital/social commerce.
- Strong analytical rigour and ability to synthesise quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing concise executive summaries and stakeholder presentations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and managing multiple project workstreams.

Internship-level role suitable for a current student or recent graduate with prior project or internship experience in market research, digital marketing, retail analysis or brand strategy preferred but not mandatory.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in progress or recent graduate in marketing, business, communications, social sciences, fashion studies or a related field.
