Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day departmental performance and lead the team to achieve operational targets.
- Act as the primary contact for the DC field team to resolve queries and clarify procedures.
- Train and onboard new employees, monitor productivity and behaviour, and report progress to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Resolve process and product issues and act as subject matter expert for sub-departmental processes.
- Support productivity measurement and maintain administrative records using MS Office.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with continuous improvement initiatives and support leading hands in meeting departmental KPIs.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma (MBO+) or equivalent vocational education.
- Proficient in MS Office for documentation and reporting; knowledge of WMS and SAP preferred.
- Strong verbal and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Demonstrable coaching ability with experience persuading and developing staff without direct hierarchical authority.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts and a results-driven, proactive mindset.
Skills
Experience
Operational experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment with prior responsibility for supervising or leading a team, training colleagues and working to productivity targets. Experience using warehouse management systems and participating in continuous improvement activities is preferred.
Education
Vocational diploma (MBO+) or equivalent.
