Michael Kors seeks a Video Post Production Manager in the NY Metro Area to lead post workflows, vendor relations and video asset management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end post-production workflow for all video and motion assets, taking delivery of captured content from the Shoot team and driving completion to final deliverables.
- Manage asset trafficking: upload proxies, populate video review tools, schedule stakeholder reviews and supervise internal review cycles.
- Oversee creative post disciplines including editorial cuts, color grading and retouching; manage cutdowns, versioning and final delivery specifications.
- Lead vendor procurement and management for post services: vendor selection, scope briefing, estimate negotiation, contract approval and performance oversight.
- Prepare and maintain film/video deliverables sheets and perform technical QC (dimensions, resolution, compression, file weight, color space) prior to delivery.
- Track post-production costs, report potential overages to the Shoot Producer, and manage budgets specific to the post process.
- Implement and refine processes to streamline post workflows and drive operational efficiencies in partnership with Project Management.
- Maintain and curate the motion asset library and archive; lead migration and implementation processes for Bynder as the video asset management system.
- Use Airtable to track production timing and individual asset deliverables; maintain an active roster of vetted vendors and freelance talent.
- Track music usage and licensing restrictions across final deliverables and monitor expiration dates.
- Provide on-the-ground video post management for high-priority events (runway, gala, VIP events) and respond to rush project requirements.
Qualifications
- BA or BFA; major or minor in business, marketing, graphic design or related field.
- Minimum six years of progressive experience in project management and video production within a creative, professional environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing external vendors and negotiating estimates for post-production services.
- Proven ability to produce detailed production breakdowns, schedules and deliverables sheets with a high level of accuracy.
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and proven adaptability in fast‑paced, deadline-driven settings.
- Familiarity with project planning and tracking methodologies and the ability to escalate and remediate delivery risks.

Experience
At least six years of experience in project management and video production in a creative environment, including direct responsibility for vendor oversight, post workflows and managing video asset libraries; experience supporting high‑profile events is preferred.
Education
BA or BFA (major/minor in business, marketing, graphic design or related discipline).

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 130,000 per annum.
