Michael Kors seeks a Store Manager in Farmington, CT (Westfarms Mall) to lead retail operations and client engagement in a fast-paced luxury environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing store team to deliver an elevated, client-centric retail experience and achieve sales targets.
- Recruit, hire and retain top retail talent while driving performance management and tailored development plans.
- Own day-to-day store operations, including merchandising presentation, inventory control, stock replenishment and POS processes.
- Build and maintain a client book through proactive clienteling, relationship building and personalised styling.
- Execute the store business plan and local marketing initiatives to drive incremental sales and traffic, including community events and in-store activations.
- Drive omnichannel sales by leveraging available digital tools, ship-from-store, click-and-collect and CRM capabilities.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance with loss prevention, visual standards and company policies.
- Foster local brand visibility through community engagement and event hosting to generate footfall and client loyalty.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Store Manager or equivalent leadership experience at a specialty retailer.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking and writing in English.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, holidays and peak shopping periods.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, and perform routine merchandising and POS tasks.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of store-level management experience in a specialty or premium retail environment with proven results in team leadership, sales growth and operational excellence. Demonstrated ability to cultivate client relationships and drive omnichannel performance.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred.
