Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain a neat, organized and fully stocked selling floor and back stockroom.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, tagging and processing inbound merchandise; complete shipping/receiving paperwork per store protocol.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and full-store inventories.
- Operate Point-of-Sale systems and execute all relevant register functions accurately and in compliance with policy.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts, time and attendance policies, and store procedures.
- Participate in training, development seminars and store meetings as directed by management.
- Deliver high standards of customer service; assist in building and maintaining repeat clientele and resolving client issues.
Qualifications
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to follow direction and store procedures.
- Basic numeracy and the ability to execute register and POS functions accurately.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with stockroom work, including lifting and moving merchandise.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in retail stockroom, inventory control or merchandising preferred; prior customer-facing retail experience is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
