Michael Kors Senior General Ledger Accountant role in Manno, Switzerland. Manage fiscal compliance and financial reporting for 30+ legal entities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for assigned legal entities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations through Blackline
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements and tax return deliverables, coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal advisors
- Support statutory audits, tax filings, VAT, and Intrastat reporting
- Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Act as key finance contact for SAP/accounting system queries and process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects affecting the GL function
- Contribute to process improvements, system changes, and new reporting requirements
- Support SOX/internal control requirements and maintain appropriate documentation for key accounting activities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Accounting certification preferred
- Experience with US GAAP, internal controls, statutory reporting, and external audits
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience using SAP

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment, with demonstrated expertise in general ledger operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
Education
Accounting certification preferred; tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline assumed.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CHF 62,400 to CHF 87,300 per annum.
