Michael Kors seeks Senior E-Commerce Photographer in NY Metro Area. Lead luxury studio photography with $95K–$100K annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead on-figure e-commerce photography across all product categories including ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, and accessories with consistent lighting, composition, and framing
- Develop, document, and maintain studio photography standards including lighting guides, camera specifications, and photography playbooks
- Direct and mentor photographers and digital technicians to ensure consistent execution across all studio sets and teams
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Stylists, Hair and Makeup teams, and Model Casting to translate seasonal brand direction into repeatable e-commerce photography
- Manage daily set execution, maintaining production pace, shot-list accuracy, image quality, and alignment with production targets
- Review and validate exposure, focus, lighting consistency, color integrity, crop, and product detail throughout shoots
- Partner with Still Life Photographer to ensure visual continuity between on-figure and product-only imagery
- Identify and implement workflow improvements across capture, styling, production, and post-production processes
- Maintain photography equipment standards and recommend upgrades to ensure cameras, lenses, lighting systems, and software remain production-ready
- Provide photographic direction and support for seasonal launches, digital exclusives, editorial moments, fit imagery, and brand initiatives
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional fashion, retail, or luxury e-commerce photography experience with significant on-figure background
- Demonstrated leadership within a high-volume studio environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing sophisticated on-figure fashion photography with product accuracy and consistent lighting
- Advanced proficiency in Capture One Pro and Adobe Photoshop
- Expert knowledge of professional digital camera systems and studio lighting systems such as Profoto or Broncolor
- Expertise in lighting, exposure, color management, lens selection, and digital capture workflows
- Experience creating and maintaining photography standards and technical documentation
- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to direct crews and mentor junior team members
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

7+ years of professional fashion, retail, or luxury e-commerce photography experience, including significant on-figure work and demonstrated leadership within high-volume studio environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 95,000 to USD 100,000 per annum.
