Role & Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end retail operations for Japan full‑price and outlet stores, leading cross‑functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders to drive consistent execution.
• Develop, maintain and revise store operations manuals, standard operating procedures and best‑practice documentation.
• Consolidate, analyse and present operational reports; propose and implement process improvements based on data insights.
• Manage retail portal, shared folders and store‑facing email communications to ensure timely distribution of operational information.
• Maintain and update store master data (basic information, hours, closures, product categories) and ensure accuracy across systems.
• Oversee uniform programme administration and related supplier coordination.
• Support inventory control procedures, cyclical stocktake processes and stock‑management initiatives.
• Coordinate procurement and maintenance of store and office fixtures, equipment and facilities; drive cost‑efficient resolutions.
• Plan and execute logistics and operational requirements for new store openings, renewals and store closures.
• Manage operational budgeting: cost planning, payment procedures, efficacy validation and efficiency programmes; prepare staff incentive reporting.
• Plan and operate corporate retail events including annual kickoff (SMC), family sales and department‑store exhibitions; respond to and fulfil requests from retail managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in retail operations or as a retail manager, preferably within a fashion or luxury retail environment.
• Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English (telephone and email communication).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word for sales analysis, documentation and presentations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to liaise with cross‑functional and external partners.
• Proactive problem‑solver with high commitment, initiative and a collaborative working style.

Experience

At least 3 years of hands‑on retail operations or retail management experience, with demonstrable exposure to multi‑store coordination, reporting and project delivery within a retail or fashion business.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; education in business, retail management, merchandising or a related discipline preferred.
