Role & Responsibilities
- Set and manage financial targets by category across an omnichannel business environment
- Update and manage monthly open-to-buy forecasts, presenting risks and opportunities to senior leadership
- Create comprehensive business reports and recaps monitoring sales performance, inventory levels, markdowns, and profit metrics by classification from enterprise to store level
- Recommend procurement decisions alongside buying partners based on thorough retail business analysis, targeting increased sales, profitability, and sell-through percentage
- Make assortment decisions aligned with regional needs and market dynamics
- Manage allocation tools to ensure distribution actions support achievement of financial and product strategy plans
- Oversee promotional and markdown activities to facilitate sales and inventory plan achievement
- Build, mentor, and develop a highly motivated, results-driven team
- Develop robust exit strategies for aged and clearance inventory
- Lead team members through appraisal and personnel development processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in merchandise planning
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Strong analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
