Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations for international markets, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees and third parties (social security, pensions, tax authorities).
- Act as primary liaison with external payroll providers: submit monthly data, review preliminary reports and approve final payslips.
- Request and verify approval of net employee payments and coordinate with treasury for social security, pension and withholding tax payments.
- Provide accounting with accurate payroll journal entries and accruals; support payroll reconciliation and resolve variances.
- Serve as direct contact for auditors on statutory financial statement payroll requests and support social security/tax audits.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll enquiries regarding payslip elements and tax calculations with professionalism and discretion.
- Execute and document SOX controls at the MK Europe level and maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc payroll reports, statistics and KPIs; contribute to payroll-related projects and process improvements.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including health insurers, tax authorities and auditors.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional payroll qualification and a minimum of 5 years' payroll experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of payroll accounting, labour law, social security and income tax legislation.
- Experience working in a multinational organisation with complex cross-border payroll processes.
- Superior attention to detail, discretion handling sensitive information and strong organisational skills.

Education
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
