Michael Kors seeks a Merchandise Allocator in New York to manage global retail inventory allocation and drive business performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders from initial allocation through end-of-life cycle, including replenishment and consolidation of goods to other stores or channels
  • Monitor overall store inventory levels based on store capacity, attributes, seasonality, and selling curves, ensuring proper flow of initial assortments and reorders
  • Identify and communicate sales opportunities and stock liabilities by door on a regular basis, ensuring buy quantities and stock levels align with current sales trends
  • Establish and maintain strong stock positions for core, seasonal basics, and item programs by partnering with the Buying team to monitor key programs and clearance aging
  • Manage basic stock replenishment programs and own warehouse inventory and aged inventory oversight by door
  • Partner with Planner to recap business at door level and create best seller and hindsight reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly bases
  • Establish strong relationships with buying, planning teams, and stores to understand merchandising strategies; conduct monthly store visits
  • Develop actionable analysis by classification and subclass at store level to partner with planning and buying teams on store attributes and sales-driving strategies
  • Recommend enhancements to allocation and replenishment procedures and systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree minimum
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
