Michael Kors Maintenance Mechanic I in Los Angeles Metropolitan Area — facility and conveyor maintenance role at Capri Holdings' Michael Kors distribution center.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility systems and distribution center conveyors, including belt tracking, motor and reducer replacement, and conveyor part repair.
- Conduct daily system walks to detect and report potential issues; monitor sorter and conveyor operations to ensure normal functioning.
- Assemble, test and service basic electrical, mechanical and electronic components; complete required service paperwork and update CMMS work orders and PMs.
- Perform general building maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, painting and mechanical repairs.
- Follow and enforce maintenance safety programs (lock-out/tag-out, Hot Work, Fall Protection) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Operate lift equipment and utilize manual and electric hand tools; perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Vocational training or 1–2 years’ experience in an industrial or distribution center maintenance environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for building and conveyor systems.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends as needed, and to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).

Vocational training or 1–2 years’ hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment, conveyors or facility systems in an industrial or distribution environment.
