Michael Kors (Capri) — Logistics Assistant Manager in Tokyo. Lead transportation, 3PL operations, SAP and inventory for regional retail and e‑commerce.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee global transportation operations for all Capri Holdings–related goods into, within and out of the region, including import/export processing and coordination of customs clearance.
- Manage 3PL warehouse partnerships and day‑to‑day inbound/outbound distribution activities for retail, B2B and e‑commerce channels, ensuring compliance with service levels and KPIs.
- Coordinate receiving, shipping, returns and QC procedures, and provide logistical support for seasonal events, family sales and special projects.
- Monitor and maintain inventory availability by proactively resolving shortages, discrepancies and stock reconciliations with 3PL partners.
- Review and drive improvements to 3PL service levels, negotiate vendor performance and contract terms, and manage vendor relationships.
- Operate and administer SAP system workflows for logistics transactions, liaising with overseas IT counterparts to troubleshoot and optimise system performance.
- Conduct monthly data analysis of logistics KPIs and costs to identify efficiencies and report actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Raise purchase orders for warehouse supplies, manage monthly invoice reconciliation and collaborate closely with Finance on cost control and accruals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years' professional experience in supply chain, logistics or distribution, with demonstrable exposure to 3PL/4PL and global transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Business‑level proficiency in English and Japanese.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong competence with ERP systems (experience with SAP preferred).
- Proven ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced retail environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

Experience
At least five years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain roles, including hands‑on management of 3PL/4PL partners, global transportation and import/export operations within a retail or fashion environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
