Role & Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end leave cases across the U.S. and Canada including FMLA, ADA, state-protected leaves, short-term and long-term disability, parental and personal leaves, and provincial Canadian programs.
- Perform intake, determine eligibility, prepare and secure documentation, track leave timelines, and manage return-to-work coordination and clearance processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers; deliver clear, empathetic guidance and timely case updates throughout the leave lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready case files and notes within Capri’s leave tracking systems and internal documentation tools while preserving strict confidentiality.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, Payroll, HRIS, Benefits and Risk Management to ensure correct leave classification, payroll adjustments, and workers’ compensation integration.
- Identify trends or compliance risks and escalate to the Leave Manager; support the redesign of in-house leave workflows, communication templates, and employee resources.
- Support system enhancements and testing for leave management tools; contribute to policy revisions, template creation, and employee-facing materials to improve clarity and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
- 2–4 years of experience in leave administration, HR operations, benefits administration or a closely related function.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave programs and/or Canadian provincial leave requirements preferred.
- Proven experience in a multi-state or retail environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency with HR systems; direct experience with Workday is beneficial.

2–4 years of hands-on experience administering leaves of absence, HR operations, benefits administration, or closely related HR functions, preferably in a multi-state or retail environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
