Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver weekly sales and KPI reporting for senior stakeholders, alongside month-end retail sales and cost reviews with clear variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Prepare comprehensive management reporting and performance packs with value-adding commentary highlighting risks, opportunities, and required actions
- Build annual budgets and periodic forecasts for retail, corporate overheads, marketing, and direct business channel costs; consolidate the full European P&L across retail, wholesale, concessions, and e-commerce
- Support district and regional store sales planning, including weekly and daily phasing
- Partner with retail leaders, regional directors, HR, and corporate budget owners to challenge assumptions, optimize costs, and improve profitability
- Monitor spend against budget and forecast, identify overspend, and coordinate with accounting to support corrective action plans and enhance financial control
- Develop robust capital expenditure requests and business cases for corporate and retail projects, providing financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Maintain and support Hyperion Planning and Reporting tools, ensuring data integrity and contributing to system improvement initiatives
- Support SOX compliance and internal control requirements
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and insights across planning, retail, corporate, and cross-functional teams to drive business performance
Qualifications
- 2–3 years' experience in financial controlling or FP&A
- Degree in economics, business administration, or related field
- CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification (beginner or part-qualified) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Working knowledge of Hyperion and SAP advantageous
- Strong communication skills with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize independently, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or a related analytical finance role, with demonstrated understanding of fashion retail operations and the ability to advise on growth and operational excellence opportunities.
Education
Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, accounting, finance, or a related discipline. CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification (beginner or part-qualified level) is advantageous.
