Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for retail store management across an assigned EMEA region, providing pragmatic ER advice on policy interpretation, performance management, harassment, discrimination and dismissals.
  • Deliver and manage workplace investigations in partnership with Loss Prevention, internal legal counsel and external counsel when required, ensuring legally compliant, commercially-minded outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate case records and use case-management tools to ensure consistent documentation, legal compliance and seamless handover of files.
  • Analyse ER data and trends at store, country and EMEA levels to identify hotspots, inform training investment and propose preventative interventions.
  • Support workforce reduction activity including documentation for restructures and position eliminations, escalating significant risks to senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and the Employee Experience team to ensure aligned, end-to-end service delivery for routine lifecycle queries and change programmes.
  • Design and deliver in-store training to develop leader capability in ER topics such as performance and absence management.
  • Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of the Employee Relations function.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years' professional experience in Human Resources with demonstrable exposure to employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment/labour law and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions (EMEA preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset and proven stakeholder management capability.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with high attention to detail and sound judgement in complex, discretionary matters.
  • Experience working with internal and external legal counsel on investigations and dismissal processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR technology platforms.
  • Analytical ability to produce accurate reporting and translate data into actionable insights.

Experience

At least 4 years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations and workplace investigations; prior exposure to retail or multi-jurisdictional EMEA operations and involvement in restructures or workforce reductions is highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline preferred; certifications in employment law, mediation or coaching advantageous.
