Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Michael Kors Retail North America team, developing effective relationships with team members and people leaders to promote positive employee relations
- Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching solutions to field teams to ensure appropriate handling and resolution of employee relations issues and advise on policies and procedures
- Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints and track cases through internal case management software
- Recommend and approve performance management action plans in partnership with the legal department
- Manage the disciplinary process for employees and administer corrective action in partnership with field leadership
- Gather and analyze employee relations data to identify trends and recommend solutions
- Identify training and development needs to enhance employee experience and performance
- Maintain compliance and understanding with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices
- Conduct exit interviews of voluntary terminations and analyze trends to recommend solutions
- Produce reporting on exit interviews, hotline calls, and corrective action documents
- Handle confidential information appropriately and escalate issues as needed
- Support company-wide global HR initiatives and assist in special projects as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2–3 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, or related HR function
- Experience in handling employee relations issues and dealing with labor laws
- Knowledge and practical application of all HR discipline and practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflict
- Analytical and problem-solving capability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Experience
2–3 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, or related HR function, with demonstrated competency in handling employee relations issues and navigating labor law requirements. Experience in retail or fashion is highly desirable.
