Michael Kors seeks a District Visual Merchandiser for Spain and Iberia to drive visual standards across multiple stores. Barcelona-based, full-time role reporting to Regional Visual Manager.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate monthly visual merchandising execution across all stores in the district, providing guidance, training, and commercial strategy recommendations to retail business partners whilst collecting feedback and photographic documentation
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative deliverables monthly, including photo decks, store visit reports, activity logs, and weekly feedback summaries to the Regional Visual Manager
  • Submit weekly recaps and feedback to senior management; contribute monthly creative CompShop concepts to the Regional Visual Manager
  • Participate in weekly team conference calls hosted by Senior Visual Management and lead assigned cross-functional projects in partnership with VM team members, marketing departments, and external partners such as department stores and suppliers
  • Host and lead monthly store walkthroughs in collaboration with store management, and support the annual visual merchandising summit organised by the Senior EU VM team
  • Plan and execute seasonal market campaigns across EU showrooms for both mainline and Collection lines, collaborating with merchandising, buying, planning, and sales functions; provide photo documentation to all stakeholders
  • Support new store openings and relocations during both planning and installation phases, leading visual execution during the handover week
  • Organise and deliver regular visual merchandising training for base stores and the district, planning structured training-focused store visits and establishing feedback and follow-up processes
  • Provide ongoing training refreshers during weekly District Managers conference calls and collaborate on VM training programme development, contributing best practices and content
  • Identify and mentor visual merchandising talent within the district to build a succession pool; support store management with recruiting and onboarding in-store VM staff
  • Analyse base store performance on a weekly basis, tailoring product placement to commercial needs and supporting all Store Managers with data-driven product positioning strategies
  • Conduct regular joint visits with District Managers to identify key visual merchandising and product opportunities; support quarterly District Manager business strategy by creating and overseeing tailored visual strategies
  • Collaborate to identify business opportunities within existing store layouts, including department relocations, expansion potential, and grading reviews
  • Propose annual fixture review improvements, collecting insights and collaborating with all departments on planning and rollout
  • Tailor brand visual merchandising directives to relevant markets with a local-market focus; deliver innovation projects centred on new display techniques for EU and global rollout
  • Support retail business through market-specific projects including seasonal concept doors, pop-ups, product trials, and showroom setups
  • Incorporate monthly creative concepts into model store launches and collaborate with the Senior VM team on new ideas for props, fixtures, sustainability initiatives, and display techniques

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar district or regional visual merchandising role, or managing visual merchandising in a flagship store
  • Demonstrated experience with trend-led, premium fashion-focused retail businesses
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple locations
  • Strong ability to partner and collaborate effectively with other retail functions and departments
  • Proven capability to deliver visual merchandising training to store teams both in-person and virtually
  • Experience analysing key performance indicators and developing actionable plans from data insights
  • Fluency in English (mandatory); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, with remaining time based in the home city
  • Demonstrated awareness of industry trends and market-specific customer profiles
