Role & Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans to drive incremental sales, identify merchandise and inventory opportunities, and utilize cross-functional partnerships with corporate teams
- Make timely business decisions and own both successes and opportunities while acting as a strategic liaison for corporate retail initiatives
- Empower, develop, and inspire store teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences that reflect the Michael Kors brand
- Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and retention of high-performing General and Store Managers through succession planning and strong market presence
- Continuously evaluate team and individual performance by setting SMART goals and providing consistent feedback to foster accountability
- Address performance or behavior issues proactively before escalation and conduct solution-focused conversations, partnering with HR when necessary
- Identify high-potential talent through talent review programs and outline growth opportunities
- Foster a culture where employees feel safe expressing concerns and opinions
- Demonstrate operational efficiency by meeting deadlines, ensuring compliance, and adhering to budget and administrative requirements
- Prioritize and balance time strategically across stores, allocating in-person and virtual presence based on business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of multi-unit management experience within specialty retail
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States
- Ability to meet store scheduling and availability expectations, including flexible schedule for weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods
