Michael Kors Distribution Development Engineer position in Venlo, Netherlands. Lead supply chain optimization and warehouse projects. €45,000–€65,000 annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyse improvement opportunities across supply chain operations, with primary focus on Venlo warehouse and logistics functionality
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and project proposals for presentation to senior leadership to secure operational and financial support
  • Lead end-to-end project execution from analysis through go-live, including handover to operational departments and transition to Business as Usual
  • Update work instructions, process flows, warehouse layouts, and operational documentation to reflect implemented improvements
  • Manage regular liaison with project sponsors regarding priorities, planning, budget allocation, resources, and workload coordination across scheduled initiatives
  • Execute project plans and deliver against defined milestones while acting as both project lead and hands-on contributor
  • Partner with IT departments on project execution and systems integration
  • Conduct post-implementation project reviews, validate assumptions, reassess outcomes, and track cost performance unit (CPU) changes to ensure projected savings are realised
  • Apply proven Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure all analyses are fact-based and evidence-driven
  • Support organisational Lean maturity through 6S standardisation, audit program implementation, and ambassador training initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar distribution, supply chain, or process engineering role
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering, project management, and process planning within logistics or warehouse operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Solid understanding of supply chain, transport, warehousing, and operational best practices
  • Strong process improvement and continuous improvement competencies
  • Experience leading major supply chain transformation initiatives and warehouse optimization projects across processes, IT, material handling equipment, and workforce management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with ability to think strategically and outside conventional frameworks

Experience
