Michael Kors seeks Associate Planner for outlet business in NY Metro Area. Retail planning, forecasting, and merchandising strategy role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop financial strategy and initiate analysis for the outlet retail business across multiple classifications and channels, including outlet stores and e-commerce
- Create seasonal, monthly, and weekly plans and forecasts for sales, inventory, markdowns, and gross margin; monitor performance and partner with buying team on merchandise strategies
- Conduct actionable analysis to recap business by classification and subclass at top-line and store level; develop strategies with buying team to drive sales and achieve gross margin profitability
- Manage and update monthly open-to-buy
- Recommend buys based on thorough analysis of retail business prior to each market; provide suggested SKU count targets at class and store cluster level; forecast inventory needs
- Work with buying team and stores to analyze business by door and maximize sales and stock opportunities; monitor flow of initial assortments and reorders by classification and style
- Support allocation strategies to increase productivity and manage omni-channel inventory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Retail Planning, Store Planning, and/or Allocation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced retail math proficiency
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Passion for fashion trends and consumer behavior

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
