Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Woodburn, USA to drive sales, lead operations, and develop staff in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals while tracking and communicating business results
- Lead by example to ensure elevated sales and service standards across the team
- Develop personal sales techniques and mentor associates to maximize sales performance
- Ensure all sales-related policies and procedures are maintained
- Demonstrate in-depth merchandise knowledge and develop product expertise among selling staff
- Maintain awareness of fashion industry trends and market developments
- Ensure associates provide the highest level of customer service
- Build and maintain repeat clientele through personal client book management
- Resolve customer problems and complaints efficiently
- Assist sales associates with customer service issues including returns and defective merchandise
- Collaborate with Store Manager on risk management, physical security, and cash controls
- Support and lead staff training on register usage and cash handling procedures
- Execute management register functions and cash control procedures
- Participate in inventory management and physical inventory counts
- Implement and maintain merchandising and visual directives
- Maintain a neat, organized selling floor reflecting brand image standards
- Process deliveries timely and communicate product concerns
- Recruit, train, and develop retail staff
- Evaluate associate performance and provide continuous feedback
- Resolve human resources issues in coordination with HR
- Ensure professional image and grooming standards aligned with brand identity
- Assume Store Manager responsibilities during absences
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty retail management
- College degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage sales performance and drive business results
- Leadership capacity to mentor and develop retail staff
- Knowledge of inventory management and cash handling procedures
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management tools
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of retail experience, including 1–2 years in a specialty or luxury retail management capacity. Prior experience in fashion retail or accessories is highly valued.
Education
College degree preferred or equivalent professional retail experience demonstrating management competency.
