Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Toronto, Canada to support store operations, lead sales performance, and manage retail teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals while monitoring and communicating business results
- Lead all associates by example in delivering elevated sales and service standards
- Develop personal sales techniques and mentor associates to maximize sales performance and product knowledge
- Ensure strict adherence to all sales-related policies and procedures
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of merchandise and maintain keen awareness of fashion industry trends and market developments
- Oversee the highest level of customer service delivery across the team
- Build and maintain repeat clientele through personal client book management and team support
- Resolve customer complaints and problems quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with Store Manager on risk management, physical security, store cash controls, and inventory management
- Support team training in register usage and maintenance, including execution of management register functions
- Participate in physical inventories and execute cash control procedures
- Implement and maintain all merchandising and visual directives
- Ensure the selling floor remains neat, clean, organized, and reflects the correct visual brand image
- Process deliveries promptly and identify and communicate product concerns
- Communicate inventory needs to align with business goals
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of team members
- Ensure payroll integrity and support the payroll process
- Provide continuous performance evaluation and constructive feedback to all associates
- Resolve human resources issues in a timely and effective manner in partnership with HR
- Support and follow up on all training programs and seminars
- Ensure all staff adhere to professional image and grooming standards reflective of the brand
Qualifications
- Ability to assume full store management responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence
- Demonstrated expertise in sales performance management and business results tracking
- Strong foundation in retail operations, including register management, cash handling, and inventory control
- Proven excellence in customer service and complaint resolution
- Visual merchandising knowledge and ability to maintain brand standards
- Team management and staff development capability
- Knowledge of fashion industry trends and product lines
Skills
Experience
Experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role, preferably within fashion or luxury retail, is required. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of driving sales results, building and managing high-performing teams, and executing operational and merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; retail management certification or post-secondary retail management education is preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 50,000 to CAD 60,000 per annum.
