Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Toronto to lead store operations, drive sales, and manage team performance in a luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales targets; track, monitor, and communicate business results to store leadership
- Lead by example to ensure all associates maintain elevated standards of sales and customer service
- Develop and refine personal sales techniques while coaching team members to maximize conversion and transaction value
- Build and maintain repeat clientele through personal client book management and client-focused relationship strategies
- Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and effectively, including handling returns and defective merchandise
- Collaborate with Store Manager on risk management, physical security, store cash controls, and inventory procedures
- Train and support team members on register operations, cash handling, and management functions
- Participate in and help coordinate store inventories
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising directives; ensure selling floor presentation meets brand standards
- Process merchandise deliveries in a timely manner and communicate inventory needs to support business goals
- Assist in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of sales and operations team members
- Enforce brand image and professional grooming standards across the entire store team
- Resolve human resources issues in collaboration with HR department as needed
Qualifications
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience in a retail luxury fashion environment
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding personal and team sales targets
- Strong knowledge of point-of-sale systems and cash management procedures
- Proficiency in developing and coaching sales associates to enhance their performance
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Skills
Experience
3–5 years of progressive retail experience, with at least 1–2 years in an assistant management or supervisory capacity, ideally within luxury fashion or premium retail environments.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail management certification or formal training programs are an asset.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 50,000 to CAD 60,000 per annum.
