Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Savannah Outlet, GA to support retail operations and lead by example in sales and customer service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals; assist in tracking, monitoring, and communicating business results
- Ensure elevated levels of sales and service are practiced by all associates; lead by example
- Develop personal sales techniques and mentor associates' selling capabilities to maximize revenue
- Ensure all sales-related policies and procedures are maintained and complied with
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of merchandise and build product knowledge among the selling team
- Maintain keen interest in fashion industry trends and market developments
- Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service
- Build and maintain repeat clientele by utilizing personal client books and coaching staff on client relationship management
- Resolve client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
- Assist sales associates with customer service issues including dissatisfied customers, returns, and defective merchandise
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on risk management, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management
- Support and assist in staff training in register usage and maintenance
- Understand and execute all management register functions
- Participate in inventory counts
- Understand and execute cash control procedures including bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash management
- Assist in implementing and maintaining all merchandising and visual directives
- Ensure the selling floor remains neat, clean, organized, and reflects the correct visual brand image at all times
- Process deliveries in a timely manner
- Identify and communicate product concerns promptly
- Communicate inventory needs to support business goals
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of store staff
- Ensure integrity of payroll and payroll processes
- Continually evaluate associate performance and provide constant feedback
- Resolve human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR as necessary
- Support and provide follow-up for all training programs and seminars
- Ensure brand image and grooming standards are professional and adhered to at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience
- 1–2 years of specialty retail management experience
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Strong product knowledge and fashion industry awareness
- Proficiency in POS systems and register management
- Ability to develop and mentor team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience
Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years of specialty retail management experience.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional retail or management certification preferred.
