Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Phoenix to support daily retail operations, manage sales teams, and maintain brand standards in a luxury fashion environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals and assist in tracking and monitoring business results
- Ensure elevated sales and service standards are practiced by all associates; lead by example
- Develop personal sales techniques and assist associates in maximizing their sales performance
- Ensure all sales-related policies and procedures are maintained across the store
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge and develop merchandise expertise among selling staff
- Provide the highest level of customer service; build and maintain repeat clientele through personal client books
- Resolve client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with Store Manager on risk management, physical security, store cash controls, and inventory management
- Support staff training in register usage and maintenance; execute management register functions
- Participate in inventory counts and execute cash control procedures including bank deposits and petty cash management
- Implement and maintain merchandising and visual directives; ensure selling floor reflects correct brand image
- Process deliveries timely and communicate product concerns and inventory needs
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of store staff
- Evaluate associate performance and provide continuous feedback; resolve HR issues in partnership with HR department
- Maintain professional image and grooming standards reflective of the brand
- Assume full Store Manager responsibilities during manager absence
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years retail experience
- 1–2 years specialty retail management experience
- In-depth knowledge of luxury merchandise and product categories
- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales tracking, and inventory management
- Proficiency in register systems and cash control procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop retail teams
- Excellent customer service and problem-resolution skills
- Strong visual merchandising and brand standards compliance
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in a specialty retail management role. Demonstrated success in supporting store operations, leading sales teams, and maintaining brand standards in a luxury retail environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college or retail management certification preferred.
