Michael Kors is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in the Miami metropolitan area to support retail operations, sales and client experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day management of the store, including sales, customer service, visual merchandising and operations.
- Drive personal and store sales targets through coaching, floor leadership and direct selling; model elevated service and selling techniques.
- Coach, train and develop sales and stock teams; evaluate performance and provide regular feedback to ensure KPI achievement.
- Manage store operations including register and cash controls, bank deposits, safe funds, petty cash and participation in inventory counts.
- Collaborate on risk management, loss prevention and physical security protocols; ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising directives; ensure the sales floor is organized, on-brand and merchandise is processed promptly.
- Resolve client complaints and complex customer-service issues; build and maintain repeat clientele and support staff clienteling efforts.
- Assist in recruitment, payroll integrity and HR issue resolution, partnering with corporate HR when required.
- Assume full Store Manager responsibilities in their absence and supervise direct reports such as Sales Supervisors and Stock Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty retail management or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing sales teams.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of cash handling, inventory control and retail loss-prevention practices.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays; valid driver's license preferred if performing offsite transfers.

Experience
At least three years of retail experience with one to two years in a specialty-store management or supervisory capacity, including demonstrated success in sales leadership, staff development and operational control.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary study in business, retail management or fashion is advantageous but not required.
