Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Howell. Lead sales, operations, and team development in our luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals while tracking and communicating business results
- Lead by example in maintaining elevated levels of sales and service across the team
- Develop personal sales techniques and mentor associates to maximize sales performance
- Build and maintain repeat clientele through client book management and personal service excellence
- Resolve customer problems and complaints quickly and effectively
- Ensure all associates deliver the highest level of customer service
- Collaborate with store manager on risk management, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management
- Support and train staff on register usage, maintenance, and management functions
- Execute cash control procedures including bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash management
- Participate in store inventories and merchandise management
- Implement and maintain all merchandising and visual directives
- Ensure the selling floor remains neat, organized, and reflects correct brand image
- Communicate inventory needs and product concerns in a timely manner
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of store staff
- Evaluate associate performance and provide ongoing feedback
- Resolve human resources issues in partnership with HR when necessary
- Maintain brand image and ensure all associates adhere to professional grooming standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience
- 1–2 years of specialty retail management experience
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets
- In-depth knowledge of fashion merchandise and market trends
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and register management
- Ability to manage cash controls and inventory procedures

Experience
Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty retail management. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to drive sales performance, develop teams, and execute operational best practices in a branded retail environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional retail management certification or higher education preferred.
