Michael Kors seeks Assistant Store Manager in Dallas/Fort Worth to lead retail operations, drive sales, and develop team members in a fast-paced fashion environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals; track, monitor, and communicate business results
- Ensure elevated sales and service standards; lead by example and develop associates' sales techniques
- Build and maintain repeat clientele using personal client book; assist staff in developing theirs
- Resolve customer complaints and problems efficiently; manage returns and defective merchandise issues
- Collaborate with store manager on risk management, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management
- Train staff on register usage, cash control procedures, bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash management
- Execute management register functions and participate in inventory processes
- Assist in recruitment, training, and ongoing development of sales staff
- Implement and maintain merchandising and visual display directives to brand standards
- Ensure selling floor is neat, organized, and reflects correct visual image at all times
- Evaluate associate performance continuously and provide constructive feedback
- Resolve human resources issues and support training programs
- Maintain knowledge of fashion industry trends and merchandise product details
- Ensure brand image and grooming standards are upheld company-wide
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in a supervisory or management role within retail or fashion
- Strong sales background with proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Exceptional customer service skills with experience building client relationships
- Proficiency in retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
- Experience with inventory management and cash handling procedures
- Understanding of merchandising principles and visual presentation standards
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or assistant management experience in retail, preferably within fashion or luxury fashion retail, with demonstrated sales performance and team leadership.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
