Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive personal and store sales performance, regularly monitoring and communicating business results to the store manager.
  • Lead by example to ensure all associates deliver elevated customer service and achieve sales targets; coach and develop selling techniques across the team.
  • Manage day-to-day retail operations including cash controls, register functions, bank deposits, safe funds, petty cash and participation in inventories.
  • Support risk management and physical security protocols to protect inventory and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Implement and maintain merchandising and visual directives; keep the selling floor organised, process deliveries and communicate inventory needs.
  • Recruit, train and develop store staff; conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and enforce brand image and grooming standards.
  • Resolve client complaints and customer-service issues promptly; build and maintain repeat clientele through personal clienteling and support of associates' client books.
  • Supervise and coordinate direct reports (e.g., Sales Supervisors, Stock Supervisors) and assist with workforce scheduling and payroll integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience, including 1–2 years in specialty retail management or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and coaching teams to commercial results.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations: cash handling, inventory control, loss prevention and POS/register management.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and develop sales staff and to enforce brand presentation standards.
  • Excellent client service and conflict-resolution skills, with an ability to cultivate and manage a client book.
