Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Cypress, TX to support store operations, sales and team leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive personal and store sales performance by meeting and exceeding individual and store sales targets; coach the team on selling techniques and client conversion.
- Ensure an elevated, consistent level of customer service across all touchpoints; manage client relationships and resolve customer issues promptly to protect brand reputation.
- Support store operations and risk management, including cash control procedures (bank deposits, safe funds, petty cash), inventory control and participation in store inventories.
- Implement and maintain merchandising and visual directives to ensure the selling floor reflects the brand image; process deliveries and communicate inventory needs.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of store staff; evaluate performance, give regular feedback and uphold grooming and image standards.
- Assist the Store Manager in tracking, monitoring and communicating business results and assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty retail management or equivalent supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and coaching skills with a record of developing sales teams and driving KPI performance.
- Strong clienteling ability and experience building repeat clientele; familiarity with maintaining and leveraging client books.
- Solid operational proficiency in cash handling, inventory management, loss prevention and basic register management.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to resolve customer complaints and HR issues tactfully.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods; ability to travel or drive to offsite locations when required.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred.
