Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Chesterfield, St. Louis to support daily retail operations, sales, and customer service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet personal and store sales goals while assisting in tracking, monitoring, and communicating business results
- Ensure elevated levels of sales and service are practiced by all associates; lead by example in sales technique development
- Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service and resolve client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
- Build and maintain repeat clientele by utilizing personal client books and assisting staff with client management
- Collaborate with Store Manager on risk management, physical security, store cash controls, and inventory management
- Support and assist in staff training across register usage, maintenance, and all operational procedures
- Understand and properly execute all management register functions and participate in inventories
- Execute cash control procedures including bank deposits, safe fund management, and petty cash reconciliation
- Assist in implementation and maintenance of all merchandising and visual display directives
- Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized, and reflects the correct brand visual image at all times
- Process deliveries in a timely manner and identify and communicate product concerns
- Communicate inventory needs to support business goals and team performance
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of staff
- Ensure integrity of payroll processes and continually evaluate associate performance
- Resolve human resources issues in a timely manner in partnership with HR
- Support and provide follow-up for all training programs and seminars
- Maintain professional image and grooming standards reflective of brand identity
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience
- 1–2 years of specialty retail management experience
- In-depth product knowledge and ability to develop merchandise expertise among selling staff
- Strong sales and customer service acumen with proven ability to lead by example
- Proficiency with retail point-of-sale systems and management functions

Experience
Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in a specialty retail management capacity. The candidate should demonstrate strong proficiency in sales generation, customer service, and operational management within a retail fashion environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or retail management certification preferred.
