Michael Kors is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Bluffton (Hilton Head), SC to support sales, operations and team leadership at the boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily store operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory and administrative tasks.
- Drive personal and store sales performance; monitor sales results and communicate business metrics to the team.
- Lead by example in delivering elevated customer service; cultivate and maintain repeat clientele through active clienteling and management of client books.
- Coach, train and develop sales and stock teams to maximise selling potential and adherence to brand standards.
- Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
- Execute cash control procedures and register management, including bank deposits, safe funds and petty cash reconciliation.
- Participate in inventories, loss-prevention and risk-management activities; report and escalate security or product concerns.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising directives to ensure the selling floor reflects the brand image and standards.
- Manage recruitment, performance evaluation and day-to-day HR issues in partnership with corporate HR as required.
- Coordinate timely processing of deliveries and communicate inventory needs to support sales goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1–2 years in specialty retail management or supervisory role.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets and coaching teams to commercial success.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor, motivate and provide constructive feedback.
- Proven competence in register/POS management, cash-handling and inventory control procedures.
- Flexible availability to work retail hours, including weekends and peak seasonal periods.
- Valid driver's license when required to perform offsite product transport duties.
