Michael Kors seeks an Assistant Planner – Trading in London with strong Excel and analytical skills to support omnichannel retail planning and trading operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain and actualize sales, stock, WSSI and OTB data, ensuring outputs are accurate and ready for review
- Produce regular trade reporting and analysis, highlighting key movements, risks and opportunities across sales, stock, sell-through, availability and margin
- Support in-season trading activity including replenishment, stock flow, transfers, cancellations, markdowns and end-of-season activity
- Support Planners with analysis, follow-up actions and day-to-day trading activity
- Monitor performance against plan and highlight material variances, risks and opportunities to the Planner
- Support sales, forecast, OTB, WSSI and inventory analysis across Full Price Omni and Outlet channels
- Maintain trading, reporting and recap tools, ensuring information is accurate and aligned to agreed plans
- Analyze channel, store and ecommerce performance to identify opportunities and inventory risks
- Support analysis of seasonal assortments, delivery flow and reorder requirements
- Prepare analysis and materials for weekly trade, OTB and commercial meetings, supporting actions and follow-up
- Work collaboratively with Retail Operations, Ecommerce, Buying, Product Planning, Finance and other teams
- Build strong working relationships across the Planning function and wider retail business
- Communicate clearly and proactively, raising issues, risks and support requirements early
- Support follow-up of agreed trading actions and ensure relevant information is communicated to stakeholders
- Take ownership of assigned reporting, tools and actions, delivering accurately and to deadline
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy, documentation and handover
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting and ways of working through technology, AI and automation
- Support consistent planning and trading processes across the team
- Use data and commercial understanding to identify performance movements, risks and opportunities
- Apply sound judgement when reviewing data and investigating discrepancies
- Communicate clear, fact-based insights to support trading decisions
- Escalate material issues and risks to the Planner in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong commercial awareness with an interest in luxury retail, consumer trends and product performance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners

Previous experience in Planning, Merchandising, Buying, Allocation or a similar retail analytical role is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

The base compensation for this position ranges from GBP 35,000 to GBP 41,000 per annum.
