Michael Kors seeks an Allocator in New York, NY — entry-level role managing global merchandise allocation, inventory and replenishment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders from initial allocation through the end-of-life cycle, including replenishment, consolidations and transfers across stores and channels.
  • Set and monitor store-level inventory targets based on capacity, attributes, seasonality and selling curves to optimize in-store availability.
  • Identify and communicate sales opportunities, stock liabilities and clearance/aging issues by store to drive buy and replenishment decisions.
  • Partner with Buying and Planning to ensure correct assortment by door and to recap business performance at the store level.
  • Maintain warehouse backstock and ownership of aged inventory by door, highlighting shipping or fulfillment issues that could impact sales.
  • Operate basic replenishment programs and manage reorder flows by classification, delivery/group and style as required.
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly best-seller and hindsight reports to inform assortment strategies and margin objectives.
  • Recommend enhancements to allocation and replenishment procedures and systems to improve accuracy and speed of execution.
  • Visit stores regularly (minimum once per month with the team) to validate assortments and communicate store-level needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; interest in Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain preferred.
  • 0–1 years of planning, allocation or merchandising experience in a retail environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to work in the New York City office three days per week and to travel to stores periodically.
  • Demonstrated analytical aptitude, creative problem-solving and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Experience
