Alexander McQueen is hiring a Retail Manager in Tokyo to lead area retail operations, drive commercial strategy and improve store performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and implement the retail commercial strategy for the assigned area to achieve sales and margin targets.
- Monitor and analyse retail KPIs (sales, conversion, average transaction value, stock turnover) and translate insights into corrective action plans.
- Provide strategic and operational support to store managers; act as the visible representative of management in stores.
- Coach, develop and performance-manage store leadership to elevate clienteling, selling skills and service standards.
- Coordinate stock allocation, local merchandising execution and in-store events with merchandising and visual teams.
- Ensure consistent application of brand standards, product presentation and client experience across the area.
- Drive initiatives to optimise workforce planning, stock management and loss-prevention practices.
- Liaise with wholesale, e-commerce and headquarters to align local commercial activities and promotional calendars.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in luxury retail management with responsibility for multiple stores or a retail area.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to meet sales and KPI targets.
- Leadership skills with experience coaching managers and building high-performing retail teams.
- Analytical capability to interpret sales data and convert insights into operational plans.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
