Role & Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end Power BI ecosystem: data ingestion, modelling, report development, deployment and monitoring.
  • Administer the Power BI Service environment including workspaces, access control, security roles, gateways and refresh schedules.
  • Design and maintain scalable, high-performance data models using star schema principles and performance optimisation techniques.
  • Author and optimise advanced DAX measures and calculations to ensure consistent KPIs and business logic across reports.
  • Build intuitive, visually compelling dashboards tailored to Retail, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, E‑commerce and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary Power BI point of contact; translate stakeholder requirements into analytics solutions and provide trusted advisory insight.
  • Maintain documentation of datasets, models and reporting logic; enforce governance and data security best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes and improve data quality in partnership with Data Engineering and IT.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and executive reporting as required and champion continuous improvement by evaluating new Power BI features.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining Microsoft Power BI reports and datasets.
  • Proven expertise in data modelling (star schema, relationship management and performance tuning).
  • Advanced DAX authoring and optimisation experience.
  • Practical experience administering Power BI Service (workspaces, gateways, security, refresh orchestration).
  • Solid SQL skills and a clear understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and managing competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to operate independently.
