Alexander McQueen seeks a People Assistant in London to deliver HR operations and recruitment support on a fixed-term contract until December 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and job description libraries; post roles internally and externally in accordance with approved processes
- Liaise with candidates throughout the recruitment process and arrange interviews, coordinating diaries with hiring managers and panels
- Conduct and record right-to-work checks in compliance with UK legislation and internal policy
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding including system setup, inductions and first-day readiness
- Support offboarding processes, ensuring timely documentation, system updates, final pay inputs and exit administration
- Enter, update and maintain all employee data within Workday; support system changes for starters, leavers, reporting line and job updates
- Act as a Workday Champion, providing first-line guidance to employees and managers
- Run regular and ad-hoc HR reports; respond to day-to-day operational HR requests and employee queries
- Support administration of HR processes including probation reviews, contract changes, absence tracking and policy acknowledgements
- Maintain accurate employee files and documentation in accordance with GDPR and data retention requirements
- Provide administrative support to the People team on ad hoc projects, initiatives and employee relations processes

- Experience operating in a fast-paced organisation and meeting deadlines
- Experience with HR systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to build relationships
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and coordinate key projects
Skills
Experience
Experience in HR operations or administration, either through internships or professional roles in a fast-paced corporate environment. Previous HR experience is highly desirable.
Education
