Alexander McQueen seeks a Merchandiser in Seoul to manage assortment planning, stock optimisation and cross-channel execution for the Korean market.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage assortment plans and master orders to ensure the right mix of product, size and colour for the Korean market across channels.
  • Optimise stock levels through demand forecasting, replenishment planning and strategic allocation to wholesale and retail points of sale.
  • Monitor sell-through, inventory KPIs and margin impacts; propose corrective actions such as reorders, promotions or markdown strategies.
  • Coordinate the buying process with regional buyers, global planners and supply chain to meet launch calendars and delivery schedules.
  • Translate global seasonal directives into market-appropriate ranges, liaising with merchandising, retail, marketing and visual teams to maximise visibility and sell-in.
  • Prepare range presentations, purchase proposals and business cases; support commercial reviews and post-season analysis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve assortment, quality and delivery issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proven experience in assortment planning, range development and stock management within fashion retail or wholesale.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales, inventory and margin data to inform buying decisions.
  • Excellent organisational skills with experience managing purchase orders, delivery schedules and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the capacity to work to seasonal deadlines in a fast-paced luxury environment.
