The Retail Visual Merchandiser creates and maintains brand image consistency across assigned sales outlets through strategic window displays, merchandising layouts, and staff training. This role operates at the intersection of retail operations and creative execution, ensuring compliance with corporate visual standards while optimizing commercial performance through effective product presentation and sales personnel development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute window rotations and remerchandising activities in alignment with company guidelines and commercial strategy
- Design and construct shop window displays and merchandising layouts according to brand standards, seasonal themes, and point-of-sale product assortment
- Conduct training sessions with store personnel on visual merchandising techniques, design principles, and implementation best practices
- Monitor and audit assigned retail locations for compliance with brand image standards and visual merchandising protocols
- Analyze sales trends and consumer response to validate the effectiveness of visual merchandising initiatives and refine strategy accordingly
- Provide structured feedback to the Visual Merchandiser Manager regarding commercial network requirements and market insights
- Develop and implement digital solutions to enhance process efficiency and cross-functional communication
- Champion sustainable development practices through environmentally responsible display materials and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Studies or equivalent formal education in a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in visual merchandising or a comparable retail creative role
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to assigned retail locations
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of proven experience in visual merchandising, retail design, or closely related creative disciplines within a commercial environment. Experience with luxury or premium brands is advantageous. Demonstrated success training retail teams and managing multiple store locations simultaneously.
Education
Degree in Fashion Studies, Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, or equivalent tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
