The Fashion Librarian serves as a curious and empathetic steward of a brand's historical and cultural collections, enabling designers and creative teams to access authoritative, up-to-date sources within the fashion industry. Acting as guardian of the brand's heritage and identity, the role encompasses managing internal and external loan requests, supporting strategic projects, cultivating supplier relationships, and establishing best practices for collection management and preservation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process internal and external loan requests in accordance with established business policies and procedures
- Collaborate on heritage-related projects of varying scope and complexity
- Contribute to the development and promotion of library strategy, policies, and operational procedures
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and external partners
- Develop and implement best practices for inventory management, cataloging, and loan tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in fashion studies, arts and humanities, library science, or equivalent demonstrated experience within a cultural heritage environment
- Exceptional organizational and archival competency
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with Sebina library management system (advantageous)
- Fluent English proficiency (minimum C1 level)
- Demonstrated passion for fashion history and cultural preservation

Experience
Internship-level position; candidates should demonstrate foundational understanding of library science, cultural heritage management, or fashion industry practices, whether through academic study or practical experience in a cultural institution.
Education
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in fashion studies, arts and humanities, library science, or equivalent; Master's in Humanistic Informatics is a plus.
